Mission of SummerStage

Summerstage is an outdoor facility to be used for cultural and educational purposes, including performances by youth, community and professional theatrical, musical and arts groups as well as DNR, scouting, school and other outdoor programs.  The current setup includes a stage in a natural amphitheater setting just off one of the hiking trails in Lapham Peak State Park which is located in Delafield, Wisconsin. 

SummerStage of Delafield is a non-profit 501-c3 organization. 

The purpose of the SummerStage of Delafield is to:
Provide an outdoor facility to be used for cultural and educational purposes, including:

• performances by youth, community and professional theatrical, musical and arts groups
• performance workshops
• Friends of Lapham Peak functions
• Division of Natural Resources functions
• scouting functions
• school outdoor functions
• outdoor programs
• other Lapham Peak User Groups (skiing, hiking, etc.)

The purpose of the SummerStage board of directors is to:

• Provide donation activities including holding fundraising events, capital campaign program(s), etc. in order to provide for stage enhancements as well as provide for maintenance and upkeep of the stage and immediate surrounding grounds.
• Solicit sponsors for SummerStage for the purpose of providing stage enhancements and to help produce SummerStage fund raising events in order to help promote the venue
• Provide marketing activities in order to promote SSD as a venue for performance groups and to promote SSD in the immediate geographical area and the state of Wisconsin
• Bring performing arts enthusiasts to the lake country area for the purpose of supporting the area businesses
