Our TheatreCamp will be taught by Tiersa Ferraro. Tiersa is married to Chris Hytinen and is a Delafield mom of 3. Before kids, she spent a lot of time at First Stage Milwaukee both performing and teaching. Her most recent professional credits include roles at Morning Star Productions, Milwaukee Shakespeare, Irish Fest, and teaching for Sunset Playhouse in Elm Grove and at Brookfield Academy. She also taught Creative Drama for KMSD Summer Academy and created her own company, Creative Kids Consortium. For the past two years, she taught ballroom dance and tap with the Danceworks’ Mad Hot Ballroom and Tap program.
Tiersa holds an M.F.A. in Acting from the Theatre School at DePaul University (formerly the Goodman School of Drama). She also studied at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York City and has a B.A. in Theatre as an Acting Specialist from UW-Madison. You can see her work in a Christian film called The Penny which won Best Feature Film of 2010 at the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival and the 5-Dove Award. Regional and national TV commercials include Sutter Home Wines, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Wisconsin, and Kohl’s. Tiersa does commercial work, but her love is the STAGE!
